Happy July 2012! July is the month where summer seems in full swing. It can be a busy month but it is definitely filled with fun events and activities. Some things we are looking forward to this month:

  1. July 4th. It's a holiday consisting of swimming, cookouts, friends, family, and fireworks. What's not to like about Independence Day? Only two days away, the 4th of July serves as a reminder that summer is here and can go by quick. After all, it is considered the unofficial halfway point of summer.
  2. Weddings.  Continuing the trend of May and June, July is filled with weddings. The best part of July weddings is the varied locations: backyards, decks, beaches, boats, and rooftops.
  3. Anniversaries. This year's wedding is next year's anniversary. Therefore, with July being such a popular wedding month, each year more anniversaries are added to the mix.
  4. Vacation/Staycation. Who doesn't love a few days off from work to sleep in late? Whether you have a trip planned or are just staying local, vacations are always cause for celebration.
  5. Baby Shower. Time to celebrate all the mommies to be and the little baby that will soon enter the world.
  6. Long Weekends. You can take either Monday or Friday off and easily extend your two day weekend into three days. It seems like July was made for long weekends full of sun and fun.
  7. Bachelor/Bachelorette. It's everyone's favorite pre-wedding celebration. Bachelor/bachelorette parties have turned from one night events to huge weekend long celebrations.
  8. Cookouts. Although cookouts can are fun no matter what day of the week, something about Sundays was made for cookouts full of friends and family.
  9. Family Reunions. Summer is a great excuse to get the whole family together. Since most people have some vacation time around the 4th of July week, it is easier to plan a large family get together.
  10. Birthdays. There is something about celebrating in the hot, lazy days of summer that makes you more excited for upcoming birthdays.
